2014 Methode Traditionnelle (Vintage Champagne). Decidedly brut Chardonnay-Semillon. Very fine bubbles. Nose of citrus, apple and pear with a richly flavoured creamy palate and good length. Tiraged 4 years.

ROSE
Cockfighter Ghost Sangiovese Rose – bottle 35
Pale crimson pink in colour, with intense aromas of fresh raspberries, pomegranate and subtle hints of rose petal. The palate is juicy and fresh with cranberries and strawberry flavours. Subtle spice and crisp acidity provides a long dry finish.

WHITE WINE
Noyce Fiano – bottle 35
70% Fiano 30% Chardonnay. Italian origin – grown in the Hunter. A light style, blended with Chardonnay which gives it a fuller, creamy mouth feel. Exhibits melon flavours.

Brokenwood Cricket Pitch Sem/Sauv Blanc – glass 8 bottle 30
Excellent green/yellow colour. Lifted tropical Sauvignon Blanc aromas and melon notes. Lovely soft round entry on the palate. Grapefruit flavours and a zesty acidity give a pleasing finish.

RED WINE
Brokenwood Sangiovese – bottle 40
Medium density colour. Lifted stewed cherry/sour cherry aromas. Some oak on the palate but mainly bright and savoury red fruit. Juicy acid/tannin balance. Medium bodied with a spicy finish.

Briar Ridge Shiraz – glass 9 bottle 38
2016 Stockhausen Shiraz. A savoury medium bodied Hunter Shiraz. The supple palate has superb fruit concentration and fine silky tannins.
